Should I get Geek Squads 4 Year Protection for a 46" Samsung LCD TV?

Best Buy/Geek Squadrons want to charge me 176.99 for the 4 year protection...I have heard LCD TV going bad after a couple weeks to months. Has anyone had any experience with this? Is it worth it? Does Samsung have their own protection warranty for a year?

1. Find out what the warranty is from the manufacturer, it's probably a year. If you pay for it with a Mastercard or Visa card, they automatically double the warranty. Most extended warranties aren't worth the cost.
