Are LCD televisions affected by Magnetism from close speakers as cathode TV were?

- Cathode Ray Tubes had a high-voltage coil around the neck of the tube that was used to steer the video signal across the screen for scanning. That is why those TV's were so heavy. A large transformer was needed to build up the high voltage needed. LCD TV's are not constructed that way.
- In a very simple answer... No. Both the TV are made in two different technology. LCD TV has no interference with speaker or Magnet.
