LCD Televisions?

HI,, Is it true that the pictures on new LCD tv's get better after a short time ? I had seen some say that it needs to get kind of run in to get the best/better picture. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks...

  1. I've never heard of that before. We've had one for over a year now, and it still looks the same picture quality to me. It is a remarkably sharp picture anyway, so if it did get better, I never noticed.
  2. Not really. What happens is after a while you get tired or "extra vivid" initial settings - and you change them to something more natural, like MOVIES,
  3. Having just purchased our replacement LCD tv after breaking our first one it is true that the picture seems to improve after a few days. This I would put down to the crystals settling after transportation of the set.
  4. No, somebody is trying to sell you some BS. A LCD or liquid crystal diode, screen is as it is when you turn it on for the first time!
  5. No, there is no warm up time, the images clarity does not change. Are they talking about plasma?
