LCD Televisions?
HI,, Is it true that the pictures on new LCD tv's get better after a short time ? I had seen some say that it needs to get kind of run in to get the best/better picture. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks...

- I've never heard of that before. We've had one for over a year now, and it still looks the same picture quality to me. It is a remarkably sharp picture anyway, so if it did get better, I never noticed.
- Not really. What happens is after a while you get tired or "extra vivid" initial settings - and you change them to something more natural, like MOVIES,
- Having just purchased our replacement LCD tv after breaking our first one it is true that the picture seems to improve after a few days. This I would put down to the crystals settling after transportation of the set.
- No, somebody is trying to sell you some BS. A LCD or liquid crystal diode, screen is as it is when you turn it on for the first time!
- No, there is no warm up time, the images clarity does not change. Are they talking about plasma?
