- I dont think you can beat a samsung, or lg television. www.play.com
- You can't go wrong with Samsung or Sony, the 2 leading brands of LCD sales worldwide and very reliable! http://www.cnet.com http://www.audioreview.com
- A good test to see who makes the best LCD is to watch a low def source and see how the LCD upscales the picture. Most brands have a heck of a time doing this and look terrible. Sony is clearly the best. Pioneer is just as good with their plasma sets. This is the difference between good engineering and run of the mill engineering. Don't believe these plasma freaks who poo-poo LCD and use the same old reasons like: poor response time, poor viewing angle, and poor blacks.... go see for yourself. The current generation of Sony LCDs is nothing short of spectacular.
- Pansonic are a very good brand. However with that kind of money available, I would personally go for a plasma since the picture quality on them are amazing. If you do decide for a plasma, Pioneer is the brand to go for.
- sony w series without any doubt, yes the sharp, and toshiba are good but the sony is sooooooooo much better wg
- Everyone is telling you SONY but let me tell you after installing sky to many brands top 3 for picture and sound:- 3) samsung 2) LG 1) Panasonic Have you tried looking on WHICH site.
- I would stay with Samsung, Sony, and Sharp. They all are top of the line right now. Check out Sears.com. you can pick a few you like and do side by side comparisons and see what one has over another. Focus on the # of HDMI ports, and the Contrast ratio. The higher to contrast ratio the brighter whites and yellows, and the deeper the blacks and blues. Good luck
- The Samsung M87 and F71 ranges are pretty darned spiffy. http://www.cramptonandmoore.co.uk/le46m87bdx-i602347.html http://www.cramptonandmoore.co.uk/le40f71b-copy-i602314.html I have a soft spot for the Toshiba X3030 range though. http://www.cramptonandmoore.co.uk/42x3030db-i602377.html And the Sharp XD1E range is a really big seller. http://www.cramptonandmoore.co.uk/lc46xd1e-i1415.html
