LCD TV Rating

What is a good quality flat screen lcd tv to buy between $400-$600?

I am looking into getting a tv for my dorm and Im looking (hopefully) for a 32" tv. My friend has a Westinghouse, but there is an audio/visual lag that we cant seem to fix (by the way, any suggestions on how to). Another friend of mine has a 32" Olevia. I have read mixed reviews on both. Is there a better quality tv in my price range?

1. I have a Sharp and it's great. Also try Toshiba - they are reasonably priced and great quality. Wait for the Boxing Day sales.
2. I have a 22 inch sharp LCD TV with a built in dvd player. It was $599 at best buy. I got it as a christmas present last year.
