  1. great screen good sound Sony is first rate but a little on the expensive side
  2. For a LCD TV...that's a really good tv! Sony is very reliable and high quality! That's why they're so expensive!!! However, dollar for dollar you're better off investing that kind of money on a Panasonic or Samsung Plasma TV! They have the superior picture quality of the HDTV world! Their newest models now have 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio's(40,000:1 native), and 600hz refresh rates! Not even the new LED backlit LCD's can compete with that! That Sony you're looking at is good and will have a good pic quality, but the Plasma's i listed will have a much better pic!
  3. pretty good for the price.. amazon has it for $1899 $1591 used $1716 refurbished if you wanna step your game up though i'd get the xbr.. if you're gonna do it.. do it right! http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Bravia-KDL-52XBR6-52-Inch-1080p/dp/B001F7HJL0/ref=oor_dp_e_rp?ie=UTF8&qid=1237844591&sr=1-8
  4. Sony started the 2008 production run for this TV using a Samsung LCD screen and produced a very nice TV. By the fall of 2008, Sony had used up their allotment of Samsung LCD screens and had to cut production over to Sharp LCD screens. There is a noticeable drop in quality with the Sharp LCD screen including a significant reduction in viewing angles and preponderance for jaundiced yellow flesh tones, destroying the overall picture quality of this TV. If you can ascertain that this TV has been build with the Samsung LCD screen, then buy it. Otherwise, pass on the deal; it will be no bargain at any price. Additional Details: A few weeks back I got called to a customer's home because their newly installed KDL-52V4100 had jaundiced yellow faces. It was not a fun experience trying to explain why a $2,400.00 Sony HDTV was a good TV when you had to wash-out all the color (drop color setting to 40% or less) just to remove the jaundiced yellow color from faces and flesh tones. This is an experience that I do not plan on repeating in my lifetime. I can NOT, at this time, recommend the KDL-52V4100 to my potential customers without first advising them of the potential risk for these characteristics.
