LCD TV Rating

Optimum Laptop to LCD tv settings please?

Hey I have a laptop and a 52 inch lcd tv. I also have a HDMI cord but when i hook it up the display on the LCD tv is pretty terrible. Therefore just wondering whether i need certain settings eg. resolution, refresh rate (hz) etc etc. cheers!

1. u just connect ur hdmi cable with tv and press TV AV or HDMI if u have choice i also use this :D
