LCD TV Rating

I just bought a lcd tv 1080i rated at 120v 60Hz moving to Australia where the power is 240v 50Hz will it work?

If I transform the power will the 50Hz work

1. The problem maybe that the aussie may run PAL instead of NTSC. The do run Pal which is the way the TV scans the lines across the screen and a US wont work there, sorry
2. North American TV sets are on a different Transmission standard than the rest of the world...it won't work in Australia.
