Sharp LCD TV has hardly any sound. Why? I just bought my first HDTV, a Sharp 26" LCD. I have the volume on full blast but it's barely audible 20 feet away. Is this because these new TV's are designed to be hooked up to a home system? I have a little shoot-ash portable TV that makes more noise.
Has anyone actually received their free Verizon TV? When I signed up for Verizon Triple Play: internet, TV, and phone, they had a promotion for a free 20 inch Sharp LCD TV. I have received nothing but a run around on this. Has anyone actually gotten a TV? In fact, I'm on the phone w/them right now. They keep saying they will send me information on how to receive it, then they don't.
Survey:What kind of tv do you have(LCD,plasma or SD)? Also how many inches is it. And/or how many tvs you have in your home. Me: Sharp 14" SD-TV, Sharp 20" SD-TV , JVC 21" SD-TV. How about you? Lets see whether plaama/LCD tvs can beat SD-TVs. C'mon people, just asking since I'm bored,no bad intentions.
Problem with a Sharp Aquos LCD tv? We have a 20" Sharp Aquos in the kitchen and recently we've seen a black box pop up that takes up a good 6"x6" section of the center of the screen. It doesn't happen all the time, every once in a while. And usually it's just a black box, but the other day when it happened, in white letters it said something about minced garlic (and I was watching a cooking show at the time). Any idea what's going on here or how to fix it? Thanks! Thanks Lecia!

how sharp is the picture quality on a lcd monitor with built in tv? Has somebody got feedback as i am thinking of buying a 17 to 20 inch lcd monitor which will be used as tv as well. Is it worth buying the external device to watch tv on my present 17 inch lcd monitor.
Does PS3 make regular DVD's look/sound better on regular LCD TV? I have a 20" Sharp LCD and i am getting a PS3. will it make it look slightest better?
SHARP 32" LC-3242U LCD TV? Why won't my SHARP 32" LCD turn on? It has 20 hours on it, but we hardly ever used it. It just suddenly stopped working. What could be the problem?
What is the best TV for video games? I have a budget (under $400-500 please!) and I'm just looking for a TV for my room, preferably a 20 in. or smaller. I'm looking for a good quality TV (we already have a Sharp 20" LCD that works fine, but it's my dads) that I could buy that's optimal for video games. I saw an article in a gaming magazine once but didn't take note of it. Please help! please be specific
Should I start buying Blu-Ray DVD's now that I purchased a PS3? my dad just got me a PS3 and i have a regular Sharp LCD 20" tv. is it worth buying Blu-Ray or should i still stick to regular DVDs?
How is the reception on the new LCD TV's with an antenna-no cable? I am thinking of getting the Sharp 20", and am very into UHF channels. Guys, are you saying the smaller screen (20") will get better reception? Also, you got that I would be using an antenna, right? What if I bump up to 27"? Again, I gotta have the UHF channels. Thank you.
Recommend Me A Good LCD TV For Xbox 360? I am really pissed of with my current tv, a 20" Sharp Classic. I'm looking for a trusted brand of lcd tvs.. I've looked up to some models from Sony, they are.. KDL32-EX500, KDL32EX600 or KLV32EX400, I'm skipping KLV32EX300 cause my parents already got them. Are those good for the 360? I'm looking for a reliable tv and cheap as it can be ^^
which of these lcd tvs should i buy? Question on a lcd tv for my bedroom...? i want a lcd tv for my xbox 360 in my bedroom. i have a choice between these tvs: sharp 20" lg 20" element 26" vizio 20" or any other ideas under $400????
How do I use my TV as a monitor? I'm using a Sharp Aquos LC20AD5EBK 20" LCD TV. At the moment, I have it hooked up to my TV, Xbox and PC. The problem is, I can only display my PC in one resolution (1024 x 768). My TV should display at 1366 x 768. This is a selectable resolution in my display properties, but when I select it (or anything else other than 1024 x 768), my TV displays "No Signal". I've asked around and nobody really seems to know what to do. I'm using an SiS graphics card with an up to date driver (but I'm not really good with the hardware side of computers so you'll have to patronise me quite a bit - talk to me as if I'm 4 years old please :D ) I'd appreciate *any* information you have, no matter how trivial. Thanks. I can only display at 60hz or more (i.e. no 50hz settings) also it looks like i can select a driver mode, but it will only let me select CRT, lCD is greyed out
which is better, HDMI or VGA? Problems working my PS3? Recently I tried to get my PS3 to work on my Sharp 20" LCD TV, but I can't get any audio or video. I did have it hooked up to an HDTV with an HDMI cable but I also did it with the cable that it came with and no problems. But now I'm getting nothing. What's the deal? Can anyone help? Uh.... It's not an HDTV. I had it hooked up to an HDTV before and no problems. And I only have two inputs. No video.
TV Speaker's Squealing? I have a LC-20b4u Sharp LCD TV. Just recently all audio has just been LOUD squealing on top of the regular audio (from TV, movies, etc). It is so loud that it is impossible to hear the TV. This problem does not go away after hours and hours of leaving it off. To make my problem 100% clear i'll show a list of when it squeals. When it squeals(out of the speakers): Cable TV connected Cable TV not connected Over The Air TV enabled Nothing Enabled and Cable TV disconnected When it is in all video moves(AV1, AV2, etc) When the DVD player is connected and playing on AV1 or AV2 or anything else When headphones are plugged in in all of the above modes When it is in all audio modes(Stereo, Mono, Etc) When the TV does not squeal: When the TV is muted When the TV is at volume level 0 When the TV is off This just happened out of the blue. Nothing happened to the TV. I was watching it today for about 20 minutes and then it happened. Its been about 12 hours and i've fiddled with everything, no setting changes it. One thing I have not tested yet: Plugging in other speakers via audio out(red/white cable jacks) Are my TV's speakers just broken? Or is there something more serious wrong here? I'm guessing its a possibility something broke(even though its only 3 years old) and the speakers are picking up extra electricity as static noise. It is REALLY loud and very squealy sounding. Any help/advice is very much appreciated! -Ian Coolidge Would this be something I could bypass by plugging some speakers into the audio out(red/white cables, not headphone jack)?
**********Which LED/LCD tv is the most bang for your buck***********? Hello, I have a 20 year old hitachi tv and I decided it's about time to upgrade to a better tv! I was looking at these tv's. I'm leaning more towards a samsung, however i'm a tad confused on the dynamic contrast ratio. The more expensive samsung LED model has a whopping 3,200,000:1 and the other has only 30,000:1. Does this dramatically effect the quality of the picture? Thank you for your opinions and input! What sharpness should I use on a Sharp 32" LCD for gaming? On a 1-20 scale, what should the sharpness be. I've heard either 0 or on the halfway mark. I use my Xbox 360 on the TV.
new lcd tv picture not as good as old conventional tv. would better scart leads make a difference? I have a new 37" Sony Bravia L.C.D. tv but the picture quality is not as good as my old 20" conventional tv. Currently i have a basic sky box and a dvd player connected to the tv through a set of cheap scart leads. The dvd picture is perfect, can't fault it but the sky channels are not as sharp and have a slight blurrynous sometimes. Could the buying of better quality scart leads make much difference? Oviously when you upgrade your tv you expect upgraded pictures.Any help or advice on this subject would be very much appreciated.

should i return my 1080p 40" samsung lcd and get the 1080p 46" sharp lcd which is now the same price? i got the samsung series 5 lcd at wal-mart a day b4 thanksgiving for $998.00 and recently i seen at that same wal-mart the 46" sharp lcd for the same price. they are both 1080p and my samsung looks great with the blu ray and xbox 360. but i heard that you really cant see the diffrence of 1080p on a 40" or smaller tv. I have a small room and i only sit like six to 7 feet away from my 40", but i can sit further if needed. i really want to see true 1080p and if it makes any diffrence, my 40" samsung has a 20,000 to 1 dynamic contrast ratio and the 46" sharp has only a 7500 to 1 dynamic contrast ratio. Both at a 60 htz refresh rate. thank you in advance.
tv+computer monitor=bigger tv? I have a 20 inch LCD sharp aquos and it has a VGA port for pc in capability. I found a 15 inch old computer monitor with a VGA port i the back of it. Is it possible to hook up the 2 to extend my tv picture onto the old lcd computer monitor? (like adding another monitor to your computer but instead to your tv)
Should I buy a new LCD television? Presently I have two televisions: a 20 inch Sharp LCD (that is not HD) and a 36 inch Sony flat panel, but it is not an LCD. The Sony has the large back, but the screen is definitely flat. Here is my dilemma: there is absolutely nothing wrong with my Sony 36 inch TV. It is HUGE and takes up a lot of room, but I rarely ever watch it. I'd love to get a nice, sleek, new LCD, about a 40 inch, 1080/240hz, but I am undecided. I'd like to know what the community thinks. Thanks, guys.
which lcd tv should i buy? i will have about £200 to spend. it cant have less than a 20" screen (preferably widescreen but not essential) i understand that it best to have one with a 800 - 1 contrast ratio and a refresh rate of no more than 8ms. i also understand that sony are considered to be the best in the market but are probably out of my price range. jvc and sharp seem to be popular brands.
How to get HD reception with an antenna? I bought a new Sharp Aquos 1080p lcd tv recently. My cable company told me that I only have regular services. To upgrade, Dish want $150 upfront plus $20 extra a month for HD service. Then a friend said he heard from someone that since I already have regular cable, all I need is an antenna to get HD reception. Anyone knows how to make it work?
Which HD LCD TV to buy? I'm looking for a small LCD for my bedroom. I don't want to break the bank and I don't need 1080p. I'm undecided between these two. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9263245&st=LC32SB27U&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1218071324034 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9230708&type=product&id=1218063831450 I can pick up the Samsung one at Sam's Club for $497. With a $20 gift card the price of the Samsung one would be $507 with tax The price of the Sharp one at best buy would be $424 with tax. So that's a $83 difference between the two. Are there any pros or cons between these two? From my perspective the Samsung one had a little deeper color, but almost an unnoticeable difference yet a big price difference.

OK i'm really not satisfied with any of the answers I got, so ONCE AGAIN, can I afford these? Ok. So, I'm really not into the answers i got from my last question. So, if any of you penny pinching cheapos are going to answer my question, I want you to start it off by openly admitting to everyone that you are a CHEAP SCAPE. Put it in caps before your answer. So, here is my money. I have have 10,000 in my savings. (i forgot i have 2,000 in another account) I have like 300 in my checking, and 150 cash in my wallet. I live on a school campus. I will need to pay my school bill of 5,000 soon, plus my credit card bill of 1,000 (books) My car might need a new O2 censor, and i have a 100 dollar fine to pay. For income, I make about $85 bi weekly for my first job, and roughly $350 bi weekly for my other job. On top of that , for every 1 day that I work (2 or 3 days/week) I will probably make about $65 dollars under the table cash in bonuses. OH also, I have 280 waiting to be deposited into my checking account because I sold that many text books on half.com These are things that I want to buy: 1. headphones, probably for like 150 or so. I have a best buy coupon for 20 dollars off, so I want to get them from bestbuy. Headphone Comments: for those penny pinchers who say "why would you spend that much on headphones, I got mine for 10 dollars and they are perfectly fine) or (you don't need an iphone for your music, why don't you just listen to music on youtube?) WELL. music on youtube is not as high quality as an MP3. Plus, your 10 dollar headphones don't sound as good as the 150 dollar ones with the good magnets, 50 level bass, comfortable over the ear fit - etc. Once again, i'm not looking for "adequate that will do" type of things here, I like nice things. What's the point of saving money when you can't spend it on things that you want? Would i be happier with my money sitting in my account? no not really, i'd like my nice headphones thank you. 2. I want the crystalift microdermabrasion machine for $200. I already have an acnelamp which costed 250. It made my acne go away Sooooo well! i love the results. Now, i want something for the scarring. Microdermabrasion from the clinic is sooo expensive, Laser resurfacing is out of the question but this home microdermabrasion machine would be perfect if it works!! 3. I probably won't even get this, but I have an american express card and every year they have this thing where they have deals for the card holders. They had a brand new 2009 BMW 328i for 17,000!!! Tomorrow, the deal is a 26' Sharp LCD tv for $300. I'm going to try for it, so if i get it i'm totally going to be paying only 300 dollars for that 500 dollar tv! SO, now for all the others who say that I need to stock money for emergencies...blabla Ok. I'm only 20, my parents still support me pretty much... my phone bill is paid for, my dad bought my car for me, I'm on their health insurance, etc. I'm not going to become unemployed because i've been with the company for so long and their even making money this year. I can't think of any other emergencies. Plus, i'm taking 18 credits and i'm a student living on campus. no students have "emergency" funds, let alone the amount of money that i have. SO remember, i like nice things so don't tell me I dont "need" something or I should buy something that costs less because that's dumb. I pretty much think i can afford it ps..

Wanted info on LCD TVs or Monitors for my XBox, wanna knw whichs the best buy for a good deal.? Hi Everyone, I'm Niroop and I'm very keen on buying a Monitor or an LCD TV for my Xbox. Option # 1 I have heard of Samsung's 20-inch Widescreen Black Flat Panel LCD Monitor which has a 10,000 : 1 contrast ratio and a 5ms of response time and native resolution of 1600x900 and 300 cd/m2 of brightness to provide extremely clear and vibrant images. Option #2 : Sharp is out with a 19-inch Widescreen Black LCD HDTV. Also features a high-performance LCD panel for high brightness and high contrast ratio along with low-reflection glare protection and wide viewing angles. This TV is compatible with all 1080i and 720p signals . I dont knw which is the best one to go for as I 'm very keen on buying the best and also use it as a TV for my room at the dorm. The monitor is priced at $129 while the TV is $199. What do you all suggest me to do? -Niroop
What tv should i get? Ive been looking for a tv for awhile now (close to 6 months) and i never really found one i liked that wasnt price friendly. The thing is though, im not entirely knowledgeable about tvs. I have a couple questions concerning which tv would be better for some things. Firstly, i was wondering which tv has the better life to it; a plasma tv, LED tv, or an LCD tv? I heard LED one time but i dont know. Also i plan on using the tv for majorly playing video games. I have a very old 20 something inch thats a tube still and ive been wanting to upgrade to hi def. I dont watch tv or anything but occasionally a movie or two off my ps3. Also, i DID notice theres a huge difference between plasmas and LED/LCD tvs. the HZs. Plasmas have around 600 where as a LED/LCD have 60-120. Is this a major difference? I went looking around at bestbuy recently and seen some tvs and i must say, the plasma tvs there looked really nice and sharp. Of course some LEDs did too but they seemed less smooth to me. Maybe it was the cable they were running? i dont really know. But can someone help explain what Hzs are for a tv? Also please know, im looking for a tv around 30-40 inch, or in the area at least. Nothing gigantic like 60. Thats really to expensive no matter where i go.
how does phillips compair to other tv brands? i'm buying around a 20" lcd hdtv for my bedroom, so as much as i'd prefer a sony it's out of my price range and size. But i'm looking at an LG, Phillips, Samsung or possibly Sharp and I know the least about Phillips. How does it compair to the rest? and does anyone know anything about Magnavox or Insignia? I have a sony right now that used to be my parents until they wanted a bigger one and they bought a panasonic and it reciently blew out and i watch mine like all the time and it's still going strong. I want something no more than like 500 since I am also buying a new ps3 (mostly the reason i decided to buy an hdtv) so with sony aside, and because of what happened to my parents tv I don't want a panasonic, is there a good brand that will last a long time and work as well as my sony does, or atleast somewhat close?
I am looking to buy an HD projection TV and get a sound system for my media room.? I have heard Pioneer elite might be a good receiver to go with? Any other receiver/speaker recomendations? I've heard Sharp has good screens. Any other recommendations. Is painting the wall a bad idea? I'm thinking a DLP projector might be a little more in my range as LCD I've heard is about 20 grand. What would you recommend for DLP and what prices?
Tower speakers make buzzing sound when using HDMI audio off laptop through tv.? I have a laptop with HDMI output, hooked up to my Sharp 32in LCD HDTV through HDMI. From the tv I have an old Kenwood receiver hooked up with analog, and then of course my speakers hooked up with the usual wires. My problems is this, while I've got the laptop hooked up to the tv and I'm playing music or just watching a movie I get a buzzing sound after about 10 minutes on my tower speakers. I even get the buzzing sound on my headphones if I hook them up to the Kenwood. However I don't get the buzzing sound on my tv's speakers at all. If I simply unplug and re-plug the HDMI, it's fine for another 20 or so minutes. Even a slight to the wire can help. Could this be due to some kind of interference? I've already tried replacing the wire but the problem is still there. I can't really think of what else it could be.
why do I only hear background music when watching TV? I have a Sharp Aquos LCD, an Onkyo 506 receiver, and a time warner (toshiba brand) DVR/cable box. The cable box runs through my receiver to my TV. My cable box connects to my receiver using an HDMI cable for video and an optical digital cable for audio. My TV connects to my receiver using only an HDMI for video only. My problem is I only get background music and sound effects (like a door closing), but I don't hear any voices from the actors. This is the case about 80% of the time, the other 20% i do hear the voices and sometimes the voices are very faint. I have no idea where to even begin troubleshooting this. Does anyone understand how this all works or have any suggestions for what could be causing this? Thanks in advance for your help!

Being Treated Diffrently At work ?? Help please? I work at walmart i am 20 years old. I work in the Cart Pusher Position and while i was working i had hurt my back on 11/23/2011 or 11/25/2011. I had told my Assistant Manager i needed to go home and i was holding my stumic because at the time i did not feel my back hurt as much as when i got home. My Assistant Manager had told the others i had been throwing up and i never said i was. When i got home i had taken a shower as my Mother had told me to do to see if my back had hurt. While i was at work i had spoken to a few other people and told them i wasn't feeling well. When i was at work on 11/23/2011 i had lifted 2 tables wrong i felt my back strain but not hurt. On 11/25/2011 i had team lifted a 52 inch sony LCD Tv. I had lifted wrong again. After my shower i went to this place called On Call. They saw me an examined my back and found i have back spasms and or i pulled a muscle. So i called work and spoke with the human resource manager and she told me to come in an file a accident report. As i was doing this my Store Manager came into the room and to me was very disrespectful. He asked me why i didn't report the accident and i told him i didn't feel it hurt then. He asked me again saying that's not a reason. I told him cause it could have happened the other day but i am not feeling it till now. Again he asked the same question but with Additional dialog. He said well now you don't even know when it happened so how did you hurt your back. I told him ether the table lifting or the tv. He said ok so when did it happen and why didn't you report it when it did. I told him cause i was not going to go anywhere an just rest at home. Again he asked why i didn't report it. After him asking me that 3 more times. I had said I don't know. He then said in a sarcastic tone ok and i hope your back feels better. I was am not allowed to work for 3 days i can return to work on 11/28/2011. He told me to be at work at 9 am sharp for a drug test which i don't do drugs. My store Manager was saying to me why i didn't tell my assistant manager i hurt my back an i said cause it didn't hurt at the time and he said well you where sent home for being sick correct. I had told him yes and he said ok so did you hurt your back at work or at home. I told him at work and he said again for the 11th time where i told him in the parking lot today picking up the tv. He said ok an told the Security guy to find the tapes and then told me to leave. I told him that my mother made me go to the On Call Medical Center. he said that's not a reason and told me i should have reported it but if i reported it i would have gotten the same talk an the same results. So Is this harassment or anything. Am i able to do anything about this and should i quit for this treatment?
Does Costco ALWAYS sell inferior products? I bought a $2600 LCD TV a couple years ago. It had several HDMI inputs and one optical output. About 6 months after I bought it, I got my 2nd HDMI device and hooked it up and "rewired" the audio to use the optical out from the TV to the amp. It didnt' work. The "expert at Costco said it should. They gave me a "specialist" number at costco who said it should. Finally I called Sharp and they said it was a crippled version and the optical out only supported the antennae tuner function! It was 2 weeks after the return window and I was stuck w/ it. Later I asked them about this and they said they don't do this (any more?). Now my wife bought a new Panasonic Microwave. I get home and it's $20 less than amazon, but it is missing one of the two features that everyone raves about on amazon- a pop-out dial for option selection. I looked the model up on panasonic and it's a "special" model for them. I just took this back and ordered from amazon! So is there any electronic product I can buy from them safely? Do they pull the same crap w/ the food I buy?
Good Small-Medium HDTV for Gaming (Xbox 360)? I'm looking to buy an HDTV for my apartment room and would like some suggestions since I'm not the biggest tech expert (mostly all I know is that 1080i or 1080p is optimal but most have 720p, but I'm fine with either). I have an Xbox 360 and would like a TV that will let me get the most out of the visuals, namely in regards to visuals though I also hold good sound as important. I also only want to spend maybe $250 or so at-most (so I guess I'm looking at around a 20-inches or so, which is fine). As far as brands go, I'm open to most any, though I've heard that Samsung is supposed to be the best or among the best for Xbox 360's. Though my family has had a 37 inch Sharp LCD HDTV for a couple or so years and has worked almost perfectly. As long as the price doesn't go (much) over $250, gives good audio/video and will last, I think I'll be content with a purchase (and I'm not sure if all HDTV's have these, but I'd really prefer those that allow all 6 A/V cables to be plugged in as opposed to the basic 3).
Are HDTVs far better now then a few years ago? Ok so in early 2008 I bought a 53" LCD samsung for just a hair under $3,000.00. I had never bothered to hook it up to HD since I really don't watch tv for anything except for sports and i really wasnt bothered by the blurry picture (just happy to have a huge tv). So anyways, my friend gets this Sharp Aquos LED 70" for $2,000.00 and hooks it up to hd and it looks absolutely ridiculously clear and defined to the point you can see the fking veins in peoples eyes. So I go out and get the exact same setup through directv as he has and i'm thinking since my TV is smaller it has to look even better, only to find out my tv isn't even comparable to his in anyway. With HD on my tv it just looks like the picture is just a crystal clear version of SD, while his looks like a whole another broadcast. So basically, my question is are HDtv's of today THAT much better then 3 years ago??? I mean I paid a grand more for a tv almost 20" smaller and the quality SUCKS compared to his, or am i missing something? Like I said, everything is hooked up the same as his. Both are through hdmi cables, on HD channels (since SD duplicates are hidden) and both set to 720p.
Why are some of today's consumer electronics becoming less durable? I just don't understand why certain consumer appliances or electronics do not last as long as they used to. Here are some cases I've seen for myself (device failures) 1. Fujitsu N3510 (Purchased 2005) - I've spent $1500 dollars on this notebook computer at Fry's Electronics in 2005. After two years, strange graphics issues appeared even in POST screens. I figured it was most likely a graphics chip failure. The notebook computer could not be repaired since the graphics chip was soldered on the motherboard in a way that was not possible to replace by normal end users. 2. A Panasonic Inverter Technology Microwave Oven (Purchased 2007) - This oven stopped working after only about three months from date of purchase. Since I was living alone in a college apartment, I only put light use on the microwave to heat TV dinners. 3. Netgear WGR614 v6 (Purchased 2006) - This device's wireless networking functionality quickly deteriorated in 2009. I opened the device and found the plastic right below and above the Broadcom chip was discolored. Apparently, a design flaw or manufacturing process mistake to omit a chip heat-sink has led to premature failure of the device. 4. A Logitech wireless keyboard (Purchased 2005) - This keyboard only worked for three years before it stopped working for unknown reasons. From that point, I purchased a wired keyboard and vowed not to buy wireless keyboards anymore. In fact, I have a friend that recently decided to buy a remade old model keyboard that featured buckling spring keys instead of rubber dome ones. Here are some of my electronics that still work: 1. Viewsonic GS771 CRT computer monitor (1999) - My mom bought this monitor in 1999 for use at work. She stopped using the monitor a few years later when she upgraded to a Viewsonic LCD monitor. I brought this monitor home and used it as a second monitor for my PC. This monitor is still functioning and the image is still sharp. 2. Jenn-Air M130 Microwave oven (1990) - This microwave oven, with touch keys and vacuum fluorescent 7-seg display, still functions despite regular use for the last 20 years. The microwave came with my current house. 3. Sony 32" Trinitron TV (1995) - This television is my current family room television. Image quality has not degraded noticeably at all. In fact, this TV is used an average of 5 hours a day for the last 15 years. 4. Panasonic Stereo Music System SG-D35 (1985) - This home audio system features an AM/FM electronic tuner with 16 memory presets, dual compact cassette deck, and phono turntable. The system even had an IR remote control which still works. The cassette decks and turntable no longer functions. Other functions still work. I currently use this system as a computer speaker system for my PC. I am aware of planned obsolescence and believe the practice isn't developed recently. In fact, I found that this practice has existed since right after the US Great Depression of 1930s. So why do many of the consumer electronics I buy more recently fail to have reasonable lifespans. Shouldn't the world have more knowledge and experience on engineering better consumer electronics?
Sony Bravia 46" Unclear Picture? I just Recently purchased the Black Friday, SOny Bravia 46" 60HZ 1080p HDTV LCD from Walmart. It has 20:000 Contrast Ratio. Before i Bought this i had a 27" sony trinitron for those of you who may be familiar with earlier sony models. I was very happy with the picture on the Trinitron that ive had for a few years now, but since HD is the way to go these days, i upgraded it. The Problem im having, is the picture, cartoons, words, people, everything is pretty fuzzy, and the color doesnt seem on point, or atleast as good as the trinitron tv i had. I have it hooked up to a motorola hd capable cable box by comcast. It is hooked up with the screw in cable. Now at this point, I have a monster 700 series hdmi cable on route after ordering it online. But im just doubting, that this cable will solve the issues im having with this tv. Will the hdmi cable, clear up this fuzzy picture, and adjust colors? Will the SD broadcasting get sharper and clearer, atleast as good as my last tv? Again, im wondering about the fuzziness/vividness of the colors.
*******Which LED/LCD tv is the most bang for your buck*********? Hello, I have a 20 year old hitachi tv and I decided it's about time to upgrade to a better tv! I was looking at these tv's.
