What do you think about the Sony Bravia LCD TV range? In particular the W series? Im thinking of buying the Sony Bravia KLD -40W2000. I read amazing reviews on it but after having gone to see it in a shop, some of the assistants told me it was overrated, and overly-priced. I looked pretty good though. If you have considered this tv yourself or even have one please let me know what you think. I need a final push before making this investment. Thanks.
What is the update i am reading about with Sony Bravia LCD tvs? I am looking to purchase an LCD tv and think I am getting the Sony Bravia 40 inch LCD tv (Model: KDL-40S5100). On some review websites they say that it looks perfect after the update is done on the TV. what exactly is this update and how is it put on the TV?
New Sony bravia LCD HDTV - is the problem my tv or the channel? I just bought it yesterday and it's a 32 inch 720p. Some channels, like the ones that have already converted to digital, look great. But then other analogue channels look just okay while some analogue channels look good. Also, video games like xbox 360 look REALLY good, practically flawless. Is it my TV or is it the quality or signal of the channel? I've read reviews about it online and no one else seems to have this problem and it's gotten great reviews.
40" Sony Bravia LCD HDTV--anyone ever owned one? Review? Model # KDL-40S2000 This is a 2006 or 2007 TV. Reviews of different sized TVs from this line are welcome. Also, what did you pay for it and when? Thank you in advance to all of the stupid "answers" that I will get from people who have never had this TV

What LCD TV is best: Sony? Samsung? LG? Hi there! At the moment I have a 32"LCD Sony Bravia Tv. However, I would like to get a bigger one that is 40" or 42" that still offers quality sound and picture. But I have two questions: 1. Is LCD better than plasma in order to watch films, dvds or play wii? Do LCD tvs provide a clearer picture? 2. What make (and series if you know) would you recommend? a) Sony seems to be the best in quality and sound but only offers the 40". b) Samsung -no idea but seems to have good reviews. c) LG have loads of models but I have read some bad reviews. I would really appreciate any feedback from you. I am sure that some of you guys have had the same dilemma :) Cheers

Videocon D2H Satellite LCD 32" TV v/s Sony Bravia V Series 32" LCD TV (KLV-32V550A)? Which one of the above is a better option ? The Videocon option has a built in satellite TV connection (no need for a set-top box) and it comes with a one year free subscription to the service. The videocon option costs Indian Rupees 27000 while the Sony option costs Rupees 45000. The Sony option has no freebies and does not include any satellite TV connection. Genuine suggestions and reviews are welcome.

Sony LCD TV or Panasonic Viera? Any help appreciated? Hello all. Could someone please point me in the right direction.. im interested in purchasing a 32" lcd hdtv and i've narrowed it down to 2 of them. They are both 399.99 and are 32" my only problem is choosing which company is better because the tv's are nearly alike. The first is a panasonic vierra model number TC-L32C12 which has everything i want and a 10,000:1 ratio. The second tv is a Sony bravia 32" that has everything i like also with a ratio of 8,000:1 the model for that one is KDL32L504 BOTH tvs are 720p OKAY... here is where the question is lol. My first thoughts were Sony = BEST so i was naturally like okay i want the sony one. but after researching i've found that this particular model was on sale at all the stores for black friday... could it be possible that tv was made slightly cheaper or only for a limited time to sell for a cheaper price. Sony also sells another 32" tv with a ratio 13,000:1 with the EXACT same specs as the previous model listed. I was 100 decided on this sony until i found out its been discontinued. This is my first lcd tv purchase and im wanting a quality television that will last me a long time thats why im going with a big name but right now im realllllly leaning towards that panasonic viera due to all the wonderful reviews it's gotten. All that being said... SONY, or PANASONIC folks?? ive always trusted sony and i do trust panasonic also but theres something about that sony model that makes me question it. ANY INPUT APPRECIATED!! Thank you so much
Sony BRAVIA VS Sharp AQUOS? Thinking about getting one of these. Which ones is better? Or should I look at another brand? Anyone know if this Bravia and this LG TV are good (Can't find online reviews!)? I really want to get one of these 2 TVs, but I can't find any reviews on the web (other than user reviews). For example, CNET has not reviewed these. Anyone know anything about these and does anyone think it's a bad idea getting a TV that hasn't been officially reviewed anywhere on the web? 1) Sony Bravia 46" 1080p LCD HDTV** (KDL46V3000). This is a great looking TV from Best Buy in Toronto and its only $2,000. Only problem is that it has 2 HDMI slots and not 3. CNET just a has a product description and says that it has not had a hands on with it. 2) LG 47" 1080p Widescreen LCD HDTV** (47LY3D). This TV is avaiable at Future Shop stores in Toronto (they are like Best Buy) and it is called a "Future Shop Exclusive TV". This is probably the reason I can barely find any information online about it. Being a model that is only at Future Shop, I am concerned about whether its maybe a dud model or something. Looks incredible though and its only $2,000. Thanks for any information.
Is the Sony - BRAVIA / 19" Class / 720p / 60Hz / LCD HDTV a good TV ? I'm planning to get that for my room . I don't want it big so I want it 19'. but is it good? Some reviews at the store website said it's not good so I don't know .. it's $350 i think. I got a Toshiba 26' a couple days ago for $399.99 but it's not working that well ... so I'm planning to return it. Thanks.

Which TV is the better buy: Samsung LN32D40 or Sony Bravia 32BX320? Both are 32" LCD TVs, around the same price, with many similar features. If anyone owns either of these models of televisions, or just either brand and could give me some input it would be very helpful. Here are links to both televisions: Sony http://www.amazon.com/Sony-BRAVIA-KDL32BX320-32-Inch-Black/dp/B004HYG9SM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1313454874&sr=8-1 Samsung http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LN32D450-32-Inch-720p-Black/dp/B004NZBC5A/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1313455833&sr=1-1 I am leaning more towards the Samsung because it got very good reviews, although the Sony did as well. Any help is really appreciated. I will use the television primarily for Xbox gaming, as well as DVD viewing and Netflix streaming through the Xbox console. It is for a bedroom with moderate lighting and a somewhat large viewing angle.
Wanna buy LCD tv, budget is not more than 18,500INR..which one will be the best buy?share reviews plz? sony bravia/samsung/panasonic viera ??? new suggestions are also welcome...just back your choice with a reason...
I am looking to purchase a new television and should it be LCD or Plasma? I am looking to buy a new television and I have mixed reviews on buying a plasma TV or LCD. I am comparing the sony Bravia 42" LCD and the Panasonic Plasma 42"G10 range. I have heard about burn outs with plasma and this is my main concern as plasma seems to have a better picture. Which is the best option or is there a better option?
Is the Sony BDP-S350 Blu-ray player any good? I just bought a Sony Bravia 1080p LCD TV and want to get a good blu-ray player. The reviews for the Sony BDP-S350 seem to be mixed. I would like to spend no more than 200-300 on one. So does anybody have a good blu-ray player or know of one?
Should I exchange my new tv ( SAMSUNG 32" LN32C530F1F) for SONY BRAVIA KDL32EX400? I just bought Samsung32" Class / 1080p / 60Hz / LCD HDTV Model: LN32C530F1F and the quality of the sound is not what i expected... it is actually worst than my old tv which was 24" 'old tube style'. I can still go to the store and get a full refund for my new tv, but my question is should I go with SonyBRAVIA 32" Class / 1080p / 60Hz / LCD HDTV Model: KDL32EX400? I read reviews that sound quality is really good, but SAMSUNG is a SAMSUNG.... I need your help guys.... Thanks a lot!
Which lcd tv is better? I am in the market for a new LCD flat panel tv. I am stuck on two. The first is a Sony Bravia 46" LCD 1080p 60hz and the second is a Vizio 47" 1080p 120hz. They are both about the same price. I know that 120hz is better than 60, obviously, but I also know that Sony is a better product than Vizio. I have also read reviews on both and its really been no help in choosing one. Any help would be great. Thanks
Is color shift really that big a problem with this particular plasma TV? LG 50PK550 Plasma TV versus Sony Bravia KDL-46EX700 1080p 120Hz LED http://reviews.plasmatvbuyingguide.com/lg-plasma-tv/lg-50pk550.html LG seems to be the best plasma TV available in Australia from what I've heard. According to this review the main problem seems to be color shift in light and white scenes. If you look at the above link it shows a white house becoming yellowish in some parts and the reviewer notes: "You will not get away from the color shift issue with this plasma TV no matter what the image. If a white house leans toward pink the effect will be multiplied with the PK500." Can anyone who owns this type of TV please tell me if they notice this color shift problem very much and if it bothers them. I am willing to spend more to get a Sony LED TV but there are lots of problems mentioned that don't apply to plasma http://reviews.lcdtvbuyingguide.com/sony-lcd-tv/sony-kdl46ex700.html If you look at the link immediately above it ranks slightly better overall and for picture quality but the review mentions problems with: * Bravia Engine 3 Video processor tests * Side Angle viewing * Irregularities introduced by LED backlighting * Motion judder and blur * Audio lacking quality and volume * Remote Control not backlit I don't watch much sport except for a bit of cricket. The LED is $2500 compared with $1500 for the LG plasma in Australia. I also can't see 3D and have no interest in it. Which one should I get? Any advice on how to choose between the 2 greatly appreciated.
Good TV for new PS3 is a Sony? Sony - BRAVIA 32" Class / 1080p / 60Hz / LCD HDTV Ive been looking at this TV its been very stressful ; I really need a good TV under 500$ 32" & the best quality. This TV has good reviews but not much reviews for gaming. please help asap.
What TV should I get. They all seem to have problems!? I decided plasma is the type I want because it isn't really much more power hungry than LCD, LED is too expensive and it is the cheapest and has the best picture. In Australia it seems the main players are: Panasonic, LG and Samsung. Panasonic have a class action against them on the basis that blacks fade on their latest plasma TVs to just grey in a couple of years and there are complaints all over the net about color flicker. I saw this color flicker on YouTube and it was horrendous. This is a pity because they looked great in the shop. LG owner reviews indicated poor longevity and lots of reliability problems. I can't find many problems with Samsung but I want a 42 inch or 46 inch TV with full high definition and you need to buy a 50 inch Samsung to get that. Even Samsung LED seems beset with problems, with people reporting dark patches in the corner of the screen on many forums etc. LCD doesn't seems as good as plasma but there is always the option of Sony Bravia LCD if plasma is too risky.
Is the Sony Bravia KDL-40S2010 or the Samsung LN-S4092D better? I am looking for a 40" LCD TV, and I went to Best Buy and Consumer Reports, and found that the 2 TVs above had about the same features, the same price, and the same picture quality. Which one is better? If you own one of these, feedback would be greatly appreciated. TVs switch out so much, it is hard to find good reviews on sites. Thanks!
Which tv? lcd/plasma? Help!? Hey i'm looking at getting a new tv this weekend, after hearing mixed reviews about whats better, lcd or plasma i really cant decide, has anyone had experience with any of these models which i've got it narrowed down to? cheers!.... Samsung LE40C530 Sony Bravia BX440 Samsung PS42C450B LG - LG42PJ550 Its mainly for watching tv (sky) and movies, occasional sports and gaming
which tv is better for xbox 360 and dish hd? http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Customer-reviews-for-Samsung-32-LCD-HDTV/sem/rpsm/oid/173636/callingModule/9/pageno/13/sortby/1/order/D/rpem/ccd/ExpandedModule.do#custRatings http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Customer-reviews-for-Sony-32-Bravia-S-Series-LCD-HDTV/sem/rpsm/oid/184449/callingModule/9/pageno/5/sortby/1/order/D/rpem/ccd/ExpandedModule.do#custRatings
Which 37" LCD TV to buy? I'm looking to buy a 37" TV for my new house. The two best that I have seen and read reviews on are the Sony Bravia KDL37W5500U and the Samsung LE37B651. The Samsung is probably the better looking of the two but possibly the Sony is slightly better picture wise but there is little difference between them in price. Which would you go for?
I'd like to find a good gaming TV with fast response time and low input lag, any recommendations? I have been looking at the SONY BRAVIA KDL40W5500 but have read some reviews and they have said that the input lag and response time are a bit slow for sensitive gamers. what make and/or model would you recommend for gaming i would like a 1080p full hd LCD any recommendations?
Vizio vs Sony bravia 1080p? I just purchased a 37” Vizio (VO37OM) Lcd/hgtv 1080p and after 3 hours of tech support between Costco, Vizio and AT&T (my cable service provider), I can’t get the regular channels to look good…The screen looks expanded even though I have the setting on full which is what is recommended and the picture quality looks muddy and blurred. The HG channels look incredible, however, on all channels I can see the refresh rate and it’s bothersome. Vizios’ tech support wanted to “blame” everything but their set, and yet AT&T said I have the latest, greatest cable box and all settings were working fine. I’m now looking into the Sony Bravia 40” KDL-40SK150 -1080p….I originally was fine with a 720p, however, many people said that if and when I want to watch Blue Ray I won’t be able to do so with a 720p, so that’s why I went with the 1080p. I’ve searched and searched many customer reviews and it’s 50/50 between the Sony & Vizio, however, I haven’t seen anything from anyone re: what my problems are with the Vizio. I’m not the type of person who buys a TV every few years..I keep them until they die. I don’t do any gaming, just watch tv and movies. Can anyone recommend either one of these 2 tv’s? Or perhaps someone can tell me if they are having the same problem with their Vizio as I am. Thanks!
Who has 40" BRAVIA® S Series LCD Flat Panel HDTV? I'm about to buy a new TV and I am trying to stay under the $1400 range. I've narrowed it down to the above mentioned TV and the SAMSUNG 37" 1080p LCD HDTV - LN37A550. I know the Samsung has gotten great reviews, but I haven't found any reviews for the Sony. I know its probably a value TV, but does anyone have any experience with it?
Trying to figure out what tv would be the best to get? Ive been looking for weeks on what tv would be the best to get im looking to get a 52" LCD tv can't afford the LED-LCD's or i would get one of those. I've been looking at the Samsung LN52B750 52-Inch 1080p 240 Hz LCD HDTV, Samsung LN52B630 52-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV, Sony BRAVIA V-Series KDL-52V5100 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV, Sony BRAVIA XBR Series KDL-52XBR9 52-Inch 1080p 240 Hz LCD HDTV, Sony BRAVIA Z Series KDL-52Z5100 52-Inch 1080p 240Hz LCD HDTV, reading all the reviews on what people think just has me so up in the air, i know to look for stuff like refresh time and contrast ratio as they are close plus is it really worth it to spend the extra money for a 240Hz LCD tv than a 120 can you notice a bigger difference and what should i look for? the tv is going to be used more for gaming than anything else. i just dont know what to look for to make my decision, any help would be appreciated

For LCD TV is the bigger the better? Well everyone voted to choose the sony 46 over the JVC 46 LCD, wanted to know feedback on people who owned them, the consummer reports the JVC is the best but I heard the Sony is better then them, I own everything JVC right now, but not sure if I want to "jumpship" to Sony, I want to know cause I'm looking at the Sony BRAVIA 46" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV Model: KDL46XBR2 or the Sony BRAVIA 52" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV Model: KDL52XBR2 which should I get... I know for alittle bit more I could get the 52, or cheeper JVC 46 LCD which I have not seen personally but hear good results, http://www.hdtvsolutions.com/JVC_LT-46FN97_Review.htm http://www.hdtvsolutions.com/flatscreen_news_story_164.htm
Why is my flatscreen tv have fogged corners every time the screen has black in it? This is actually a problem that I've had for a while now and I'd really like to learn how to fix it, if its even possible with the brand I have. Its kind of a long story, but it pretty much boils down this. A month ago I bought a 52" sony bravia xbr9 lcd hdtv 240 hz. The tv was amazing in every way except for the blacks. Every time the parts of the screen got black or the entire screen went black these foggy white patches started to appear all around the screen especially in the 4 corners of the screen. I did research on flat screen tvs and found out that I wasn't the only one experiencing these problems. Apparently all sony bravias do this so I now know it isnt a defect. Thats just the way they are. So I did some more research to see if there were any flat screen tvs that didnt have these foggy patches. I learned from repeated reviews from consumers that Samsung doesnt have this problem. Neither do leds. So I traded it in the bravia for a 55" Samsung series 6 6000 led hdtv 120hz. I was surprised by how much better an led could get from an lcd. The image was crisper, the colors were more vibrant and the over all image was brighter. The blacks are amazing to, BUT... it still has the foggy patches. They arent nearly as bad or noticeable as the bravia and this time they were only isolated to the four corners of the screen, but theyre still there. My question is how do you get rid of them? Or is it even possible on an led or lcd? Or maybe this fog aura only occurs on large tvs over 50"s or something? Maybe its something as simple as screwing around with the picture adjustments? If so which one? You know aside from this minor problem this tv is amazing. Ive never seen an image so perfected in so many ways. If this fog aura can simply not be fixed and is just a part of the tv than I don't mind too much, but if it can be fixed then I'd really like to know how to do so. I'm not going to replace this tv with another that might be better. I just want this one to work. Hope I added enough info. for you guys to figure out the problem. Thanks for you input. Perhaps its because the tv is too big. I have a couple friends with lcds that are a lot smaller like 37" and 40" and they dont have this problem.
Xbox HDMI support for Sony Bravia KLV-32T400A? i have a sony Bravia KLV-32T400A. i dont know this is a hd tv. but i have a HDMI input. i read some reviews that HDMI cable for XBOX, im not clear. xbox clarity on the lcd is no clear(smaller letter cannot be read). i tried with all option in the lcd settings, no results. shoud i go for XBOX hdmi cable? if yes does my lcd support 1080 res. some body please help me with this.
Is samsung series 4 lcd a good tv? I'm planning on buying a 32" LCD tv next month and i'm considering the samsung series 4 lcd as my top choice, i couldn't find enough reviews of this tv on the internet, and some of the specs varies from other sites. I'm skeptic on choosing this tv because its hd ready only. Should i go for a full hd instead? I think the features are great though, it doesn't have the "motion flow" feature like sony bravia has which is way pricey. But 6ms reponse time is fast enough to prevent motion blurs right?? 10,000:1 contrast ratio is high enough right?? Will dvd, hd dvd, blue ray and even ps3 look good on it? I really wish you guys can help me, if this is not a good tv can you suggest a better one or a better brand on the same price range?? Thanks in advance! God Bless!
In need of a good LCD tv brand.? So my mum was wanting to get the family a new TV, and knows very little about them, and I know just enough to namedrop and pricedrop haha. What I needed was, we're looking for a 46+ TV, NOT plasma, and a 1,100 dollar limit (a little more wouldn't hurt) We were planning on getting a Vizio, we've heard nothing but good reviews on their TV's, but as a newer brand, I wanted to learn more, and found out that their customer support and warranty program was absolutely atrocious. When it came to quality, several sources tell me Sony, Sharp, and LG are the best brands out there, but for sharps stick to Aquos. LG and the aquos turned out far too expensive for what we wanted. So we decided to look at Sony. At Bestbuy.com, we found a 52' Sony Bravia for 1,100. The specs are 1080p, 60hz. I'm not sure what those are, but if they deal with sound, it won't be a problem for us. Small living room, and a system already here anyway haha. So my question. Does anyone out there know of a TV brand, LCD, that has a good tv for under 1,100 that comes with a great company backed warranty, and won't break down in 3 months like I hear alot of smaller companies (RCA, Sanyo) seem to have.
Which is the better TV, or do you know of a better one? I need help deciding which HDTV would be best for gaming... i'm looking to spend around 2k at the most, but am willing to maybe go a little bit higher if needed. There's a few tvs i've looked into and I don't know which to go with. <b>Sony KDS-50A2000-</b> http://reviews.cnet.com/projection-tvs/sony-kds-50a2000/4505-6484_7-31901230.html?tag=prod.txt.1 Looks pretty good, and I think it's my main pick so far... but last I remember, rear-projection TVs had really dim screens, is this one really that bright and is the picture that good? Would the picture of a rear-projection LCD compare with that of a wall-mounted one like this- <b>Sony 40" BRAVIA XBR LCD Flat Panel HDTV with Built-In ATSC Tuner KDL-40XBR2</b> http://www.macmall.com/macmall/shop/detail.asp?dpno=7121908&Redir=1&description=Sony-40%22%20BRAVIA%20XBR%20LCD%20Flat%20Panel%20HDTV%20with%20Built-In%20ATSC%20Tuner-Video It seems i've been gravitating towards sony, i've even considered their XBR960/970 CRTs, but i've decided that the weight might be too much and I might end up wanting a bigger screen later... of course, anything would be a HUGE upgrade from my SD-27 inch TV. Help me get into HD!
What do you think of the 32'' RCA lcd TV/DVD Combo? I was recently out to purchase a new hdtv and i was set on the 32'' sony bravia. When i went to go get it there was none left and i was set on buying a tv. The sony was gonna cost me 700+$ but i seen the RCA 32'' TV/DVD Combo for just under 500$. I bought it and i thought id give it a shot. Does anyone have this TV im having a heard time finding reviews on it. Was this a good deal? Or should i bring it back and spend the extra 200+$ on the bravia. Both TV's are 720p/1080i by the way. Have i made a good choice and saved money? Thanks
Which TV would be best? I want to spend less than £400 on a 32 inch LCD TV. That might seem not a lot of money, but I'm not talking about Curry's prices here. I will be buying online. At first I was looking at the Sony Bravia KDL32V500. All the reviews were great, but then I saw it in a shop and it didn't look good at all. The latest one I've been looking at is the Toshiba Regza 32AV555DB (or 32AV555AV as it is sometimes shown as, incorrectly). This is cheaper than the Bravia, but in the shop I was in it looked better. The TV I get must have no motion blur, and good colours. I will be using it for PS3, Xbox360 and DVDs/BDs through the PS3. Does anybody have any thoughts? I'm in the UK, so US shops and prices mean nothing to me. Thanks anyway though.
If i use hdmi to output my ps3 audio to a tv, and then use an optical output from my tv into z5500's? will i have 5.1 digital surround sound when using my ps3? i know that both of the cables support at least 5.1 but im not sure if thatd work The tv is a Sony Bravia 32 inch HD lcd tv I want my ps3 to have surround sound, but my speakers to work with DTV as well. i cant get 2 optcial cables, as my z5500 only has one input... after a robbery, to rebuild my setup, i could choose between z906 and z5500, the 906 has 2 inputs, but i hadnt considered outputting dtv audio to my speakers, as i didnt with my old setup. but since the z5500 has better reviews i chose them again. coz theyre better so yeah if i do that, will my ps3's 5.1 channel digital surround work...
52" LCD TV which brand to buy? I'm getting ready to purchase a 52" TV, but I'm trying to decide whether to buy the Sony 52" Bravia KDL52V5100, some brand of Samsung that's 52". I know I don't want to buy LG because I've read too many bad reviews on the tv's and many problrms with the manufacturer. TV mostly for just watching daily TV and movies. Which do you suggest.
Can a TV have an in-built freeview HD tuner? I'm interested in the Sony 32 inch BX320 Series BRAVIA LCD TV and have looked on their website for specs: no mention of the in-built HD Tuner being freeview. But when I look at reviews people are saying it has one - I thought only set top boxes and PVRs could use freeview tuners... I want to avoid freeview due to limited ad skipping functions so wouldn't buy this TV if it has FreeView...but I do have the Topfield 7100+ which has 2 FreeView HD tuners that I do all my recording through - would this override the freeview limitations of the in-built freeview tuner (if it is actually an inbuilt freeview Tuner!). Thanks for any help. I know in-built HD TV tuners would be freeview compatible - but what I am asking is would the inbuilt tuner be freeview?
I am stock on sony vs vizio for hdtv...which brand is better? I am in the final phase of buying a tv (after days of reviewing different models). I have these two options to select from (Vizio 42" Class Eco 1080p 60Hz LCD HDTV, VO420E vs. Sony Bravia 40" Class 1080p LCD HDTV, KDL-40S504). What model would be better in terms of hd quality, easy integraion with home threater, gaming system and laptop. This is my first HDTV and been trying to make sure i get it right. Thanks for your opinions.
Wanna buy LCD tv, budget is not more than 18,500INR..which one will be the best buy?share reviews plz? sony bravia/samsung/panasonic viera ??? new suggestions are also welcome...just back your choice with a reason...
Vizio, Sony, Samsung, LG? I'm looking to get a 40-42 inch hi def 1080 lcd tv.I've heard alot of mixed reviews on all of these and was just wondering if anyone has a good one for me to look more into. I'm really leaning towards a 40 inch sony bravia as i've heard the sony brand is near the top. Im not looking to get fancy. Just something to last me awhile, play games on, and watch football on sundays. Any help?
Good 40" or higher Full HD TV's for Pc gaming? Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my HD Ready Sony BRAVIA TV that I got back in 2007 and knew very little about HD so I picked up a HD ready (720p) TV knowing little difference, but now I think it's time to upgrade. After searching online for around a month looking at reviews and going into shops I seem to always be hitting the same rock as before. Please note I'll be using this TV about everyday or every other day for a good 4 to 8 hours. Mainly using it for HD Pc gaming and Sky. But more so for gaming so this input lag is something that has held me back but from what I know, or have been told, anything with 50ms is acceptable to good depending on the person. I am looking for a Full HD (1080p) that is 40" or higher and meets certain criteria: - 1080p HD of course - Great HD Quality - 40" to 50" - Budget can go from £500 to £800 lower the better of course, but I understand quality cost's. I don't think anything higher than that will be attainable on my budget. Plasma, LCD or LED are perfect, not too picky about that. But because I'll be using it as a Pc screen I think Plasma may suffer heavy Screen burn as I maybe running applications such as Photoshop or Sony Vegas for extensive periods of time. Reason why I'm asking here is I've searched on the internet for a good month or so now and reviews are unreliable sometimes and going in store is the best way to test but hardly any stores allow me to test the screens for gaming. I'd rather get information from people who have actually tested TV's themselves in the real world for such manors and can advise me on the best TV for me. :) I anticipated your replies :)
Need to know what 40" - 42" Flat Screen LCD 1080P HDTV to purhase? I've been looking at the Vizio 42" LCD 1080p HDTV for a while now Wal-Mart has it at $799 and I've read good reviews about them but soon after reading reviews I saw a Sony 40" Bravia 1080p set that looked 3 times as good at Wal-Mart for $999. So heres the skinny. I live on my own, no pets, don't smoke and I have one window that has blinds so that I can control the light. I mainly watch DVDs in widescreen format. My DVDs are usually Action, Adventure, Drama, Sports or Comedy. I play Xbox 360 on Xbox Live which also doubles as my DVD player. I want HDMI because my Elite 360 has HDMI cables. And both sets are HDMI ready. I use a Direct TV DVR to watch just about anything. So these are my variables and these are the sets I'm going with. The Vizio is more my price point but the Sony looks so much more crisp. I did ask the Wal-Mart electronics guy if the images being shown were coming from a Blu-Ray player and he didn't know. So can any of you elctronic guru's help?
Looking to buy a new tv in the next couple months? I'm looking to buy my first HDTV in the next couple of months (how exciting!), but I'm pretty clueless about tvs. I've heard that LCD's are better than Plasma's in the long run, so I'm thinking of going with something like a 50/52" LCD. Could someone recommend some models and maybe point me to some reviews. Looking for the best value of quality and durability...my brother in law just bought a new Sony Bravia and is pretty sweet...any advise would be appreciated.
Several Nintendo Wii Concerns? I have had my wii for about 2.5 years. I have had several issues. 1. The wii look's pretty bad on my 32 inch Sony Bravia 720p LCD television. The graphics show many jagged edges (jaggies). I am using a nintendo component cable. I have also messed with the sharpness settings and currently have my wii set to 480p and 16:9. However, for some reason, my TV display says 480p and 4:3. Anyways, the jaggies just seem excessive even for a wii. My TV was not a cheap brand, and it has gotten reviewed well, so I don't think that's really the issue. I don't have the money to spend on a plasma or any other additional TV at the moment. 2. Occasionally, after playing my wii for a period of time, I will return to the home menu via the button on the wiimote. Sometimes after doing this, the disc is not able to be re-read. The disc just keeps spinning like it's trying to be read, but I ultimately have to turn my wii off and then back on. This happens maybe half of the time when I do this, and it happens for any game (it's not the discs). 3. My wii seems to be fairly warm to the touch. It is not hot, just maybe 10-15 degrees above room temp. It is always plugged in, so that may be the reason. It has not had any real issues related to this. please help with any of the issues you can. I'm sorry this is such a long question, but I'm really concerned and wanted to provide as much detail as possible. Thank you. sony products aren't junk. In fact, sony is typically the best rated television brand. My wii is on the floor. I moved it about 2 feet off the ground, but I'm not sure that will help. Thank you all for your help. I did notice a lot of conflicting answers though -_-. I turned my wii off completely by holding to button for 5 secs. After about an hour the wii wasn't warm anymore. Therefore, I don't really regard the heat as being an issue at this point. I moved my wii off the ground and the disc rereading issue seems to be atleast slightly less pertinent. I would still like to call nintendo customer support and see if they have any insight on this possible issue and/or the jaggies.
Sony Bravia 32" LCD or Panasonic Viera 32" LCD? Please help? Thank you so much
LCD HDTV...Which one!? As an over-thinker, I really know how to take the fun out of getting a new toy! :) This will be my 1st flatscreen, I need at least 32" (could go up to 40" I guess, but my wallet begs to differ) I watch regular DVDs, no blu-ray, do no game, would like to hook my laptop up to watch movies from it on my tv, I am not looking to mount it yet but may in the future, I like to flip channels and HATE waiting for the picture to come up, I will not be using an external suround sound so I'd like to have one built-in, and as a bonus I'd love to have an auto-adjusting volume feature (but totally don't NEED it) My worries are longevity. I've read thousands of reviews on Visio and at first glance, that's the best bet. But as I read more into people who owned them for over a year, they all died. I can not be buying a new tv until my child (which I never plan on having) graduates college! The ones I've been looking at are: Sony Bravia 32" KDL32L5000 - $500 Sharp 32" LC32SB27UT - $500 Samsung 32" LN32B350 (this is Target's model number but Samsung calls it 360 and it has a 6ms response time rather than the 8ms Target's lists - would I notice the difference?) Magnavox 32" 32MF339B (Target's model number, Magnavox calls it 338) The differences I'm noticing that I am not sure of are: Audio features (like Dolby or TruSurround, etc. or down-firing speakers?) MS Response times Contrast ratios (some are 10,000 while others are 30,000) Aspect ratios (most are 16:9 but some say widescreen - my parents have a widescreen and I feel the screen is too small to be that wide and do not want pudgy people/things on my screen...does this matter?) Any info you can give me would be GREATLY appreciated!!
Which HD Flat Panel is best? I want to buy a new tv, im still in the stone-age with an old tube tv..time to upgrade! But I cant choose between these two, and sales people suck, and both the sets have great reviews online. Im stumped, my final two choices are as follows... Philips 42" Diag.120Hz Full High-Def.1080p LCD TV $1160.00 or Sony BRAVIA 40" Diagonal Full High-Definition 1080p LCD TV $998.00
Does KDL-32L5000 have blur caused by motion on screen? The Samsung LN32B460 I currently have is great, but there's a blur whenever movement occurs on the screen. Even just a very, very small amount of panning introduces blur along with a very slight color change(most likely due to the blur, though). I've confirmed that it's not motion blur, because I compared it to my other Samsung DLP HDTV, and it didn't have that blur. I researched and found out that it's a problem with all LCD TVs. In a review someone mentioned that they traded in a 32" Samsung 720p TV for a Sony Bravia KDL-32L5000, and the blur wasn't on the Sony. Is this true, or is the blur still there?
32" HDTV as a PC multimedia monitor? Hey, Currently running a samsung 204b 20.1" monitor on a gaming/multimedia rig in my room. Want to go big with my next monitor so I can watch movies, tv, Gaming, surf the internet. was looking at couple monitors in the 27" and 28" range but no tv tuners built in. Though Samsung just came out with the P2770HD monitor with tv tuner but it got really bad reviews as a tv and as a monitor and its $475!! same price as a 32", so im lookin at some 32" 1080p HDTV's to hook up via a DVI to HDMI cable. neweggs got a great deal on a lg 32lh40 which is a Super IPS panel which ive read is the best LCD panel made, heavily discounted for only $469.00 shipped!!! Definitely will sell out!!, or I was looking at a brand new model of the Sony bravia line KDL32EX400 which has a cool Picture in Picture feature that you can have you pc desktop on main screen and small PIP of TV or cable, I found this model for $499.00 shipped. Looked at Both online manuals and they both accept DVI to HDMI PC input @ 1920x1080 res, dont know what kind of panel the Sony is but Im just trying to figure out which one would be best for Mainly being used as PC monitor??, and would movies from my computer look just as good played though pc mode as if I were to burn them and play on external DVD or BlueRay?? Here's a link of some side by side comparison from Newegg.com http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2102640411%20138902006%201389027312&bop=And&ActiveSearchResult=True&CompareItemList=N82E16889252083%2CN82E16889005064 Any imput would be Great!!! thanks Guys!!
Best surround sound for my budget? Alrite, it's time for me to complete my theater-like bedroom. I have the light dimmer, i have a big flat screen (720p LCD HDTV) with 3 HDMI inputs. now I need some help. My room is fairly big. (in a sense bigger than most bedrooms), pretty spacious. I'm thinking of getting a 5.1 system, and I'm thinking of getting WIRED speakers because I dont want to keep changing batteries, however for those who have wireless, how often do the batteries last? And how often do you use the system? I dont need crazy power because I usually watch movies around 9pm and I dont live alone. I love the long/thin speakers too. Those are the ones I like. So yah, any ideas which are good? Preferably wired, unless you have a good argument for wireless (in terms of battery life), because I have no problems wiring my room across the walls. Price budget: Below $700. The ones I found which fit my needs are 5.1 Sony Bravia DAV-HDX500/i which includes a dvd player (which I need) and has great reviews on amazon.com. The only thing wrong with it is 1 hdmi connection (doesnt matter to me since I dont play video games) and dvd goes to 1080i, which again, it doesnt matter since my TV is 720p. Please advise!! p.s. My other question is will I be able to get surround sound from a movie i play on my PC which i will stream the audio into the bravia?
How should I choose my next television? I have been wanting a High Definition television for quite some time now and my tax return is coming, the time has come. I am torn on which television I should choose. I want at least a 32" or 37" lcd to put in my bedroom. I can get a 37" vizio for the same price as a 32" samsung or a 32" sony bravia, about $800.00. I also see a westinghouse, a sanyo, and an emerson 32" for about $600.00 each. I don't know whether to sacrifice size for "quality" or to take a chance with the larger size and hope all goes well. Does anyone own any of the lcd tv's I mentioned above? If so please post a review or comment on the product, pros and cons please. Thank you in advance
