Why does my LCD Phillips television show images from previous DVDS? My Phillips LCD television is odd. If I play the playstation when I change back to watching a DVD I can see the images of the game I played still on the screen. This can be mild to really annoying. What is causing this can anybody tell me? It also does it from DVD to DVD.

Phillips 42" LCD Sound but no Video? I have a 3 year old Phillips 42" LCD HD Television that suddenly decided to die out on me. It was working fine the night before, and then suddenly the other morning I turned it on and it had no video. The sound works fine, but nothing comes on the screen, it stays completely black as though its turned off. I tried turning it of and on multiple times, I tried unplugging it for 8 hours straight, and I followed the tech support suggestion of unplugging it while its turned on to do a reset then plugging it back into the wall. Has anybody had a similar problem or know any suggestions, I am not a TV repair person but I do know my way around internal electronics components and am well aware of the risk of electrocution, and how to avoid it. Is there anything specifically I should look for? Thanks.
lcd television problem? have a phillips lcd 32" tv,had it for around 4 years for the last month or so ive noticed the picture isn't great,in all sources and in hd. the picture can be viewed ok,and isn't terrible.but in the faded colours there seems to be rings/contours? for example..if the colour is dark on one section and fades out lighter, like if reflection or light is on an object its gets the rings/contours rather than a natural fade of colour sorry if ive confused, but its hard to explain. thanks in advance
How do I distinguish if my Lcd has a hot, dead, or stuck pixel please look? I have a 42" Phillips 1080p 120hz LCD. The television is beautiful but 1 pixel on the entire screen remains white. I can't even notice it 99% of the time unless there's a completely black screen I will see the 1 constantly remaining white pixel. The pixel always stays white, and is always visible if you get really close to the tv and look for it. I'm wondering if this is repairable since it's not black (it's white). In your opinion does this sound like a dead, hot, or stuck pixel and how if possible would you go about fixing it. It doesn't really bother my viewing but it does bother me personally just knowing that it's there.

New LCD television...HELP!? Hey. I just purchased this 52" LCD tv. It's a Phillips. It's pretty awesome, but the person who sold it to us tried to get us to by this gold plated cord, saying, " You'll need this for a better picture. It gives you a better quality viewing experience." I believe he wasn't just trying to make extra cash or anything, but I just didn't have another 80 bucks to spend, as I just got finished spending $1400. Anyway, I realize that although the tv is great, it is a little funny. I was watching Transformers on digital cable, and it looked kind of like a home video. I'm sure it's not the tv, cause video gaming on it is sweeeeeet! Would this cable in fact improve the quality to an extreme? What is this cable called, and where can I get a good deal on one? Thanks!!!
My LCD TV looks Dull? I have a 32' Samsung LCD TV. When I first got it the picture was very bright and sharp and HD looked nice. However, after a few months the screen had got a lot of dust on it so I decided to clean it. I tried to do it the right way I bought phillips LCD cleaner and follwed the directions turning the tv off. After I finished though there were a few streaks and scratches and the screen looked dull and now it looks almost like a standard television even on some HD channels. I paid a lot of money for this would the warranty cover this type of damage or is there anything I can do to fix this? Please Help
Problem connecting PS3 to RCA Television via Phillips Modulator? As the title says, I am having trouble connecting my ps3 to my RCA television via my Phillips Modulator. The reason for me having a modulator is that I need it in order to have my Comcast cable box. The RCA tv is an older one (specifically the Guide plus+) so if I can have my cable box connecting via the Modulator then I assume that it is not broken. I have tried using ps1 and ps2 cables but it doesn't work. The ps3 works excellently on the LCD tv in the living room just want it for my room. Now I have tried to reset the settings for the ps3 by holding the button down for 3,4,5 seconds or whatever, and the 3 beeps. But that does nothing for it. I have tried everything that I have seen on here an NOTHING works. Anything you guys can share with me is appreciated thanks.I will put a link to a picture of the modulator. http://www.bentleyav.com/images/image_220.jpg
Can anyone recommend a 32" 720p television? Hi, I'm looking for a 32" LCD television of 720p and above resolution (720p preferable to reduce price, given the size of the TV), which includes dolby digital surround sound (not pro logic) at the lowest possible price, preferably made by Phillips, but that isn't important. Can anyone help?
need help setting up TV w/ phillips HDTV receiver? My Grandparents got a new LCD TV, but they dont have either cable, or satellite. So Grandpa got a "Phillips MANT940 indoor/outdoor UHV/VHF Television antenna" its a grey rectangle shaped plastic box, that you are supposed to attach to the wall or a pole outside, and then should be able to get a better quality of TV reception. My problem is that I dont know how to make it actually work. we have everything plugged in, but the TV doesnt seem to acknowledge that it's plugged in, and certainly doesnt get reception. Help? I will answer questions, I'm just not sure what else to say about it... Thanks! I dont have any idea where the transmitter is, or how far to the nearest TV signal, I'm really talking about what settings to use, cause I cant get it to do anything.....
I'm about to buy a new Television, and am looking for good brands, can you provide suggestions? I'm in the 37"-42" range, going for most like 1080P, LCD. I've seen Sharps, Samsungs, Panasonic, Phillips, Sony, etc. What have your experiences been with the different brands, and which did you like best? Thanks!
What are the benefits of having two video cards? My current computer specs: Manufacturer: MSI Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 930 @ 2.80GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.8GHz Memory: 6144MB RAM Hard Drive:30GB SSD that has Windows on it and a 550GB HDD that has everything else. Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 240 Monitor: Phillips 19" LCD High Definition Television and a really old Dell flatscreen Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit) Motherboard: (3-Way SLI Support) MSI X58A-GD65 Intel X58 Chipset SLI/CrossFireX Triple-Channel DDR3 ATX Mainboard Computer Case: Thermaltake Element-T Mid-Tower Case (Original Color) I am currently considering adding another 6gb of ram (3x2gb) and purchasing an overclocked Nvidia GeForce GTX 480. The ram is going to run me about $180 while the card is going to be about $400. Is this a worthy investment? I am not one of those fruitcups that buy the newest and best stuff every time it comes out so i want something that is going to last me a while I am doing this for gaming and game development. 32 bit OS can only use up to 4gb of ram. 64 bit can use however much you have. there is no cap.

What is DLP on T.V.'s?? I want to get a Phillips television and it looks very good but it has DLP. And I don't know what it is. Can you tell me if LCD, plasma or DLP is better or at least compare them?
My tv- hear speech first then person's lips move-3 second lag? Okay, I need to correct my last question-rather actually reverse my description; You actually hear what person is saying first, then person's lips move like 3 seconds later. I have to pull an HDMI cable from back of cable box (also an HDMI unit) and plug it back in to get everything in sync again. I have phillips HDMI cables for both the tv and my ps3. This occasionally happens with the ps3 and while playing killzone on my ps2. Perhaps I made a bad choice picking phillips HDMI cables so would monster brand cables fix this? I'd hate to think it is my new HD LCD television, lol. I spent hard earned money just to avoid this type of thing. Thanks to all whom answered my previous question and this time I will pick a best answer.
which tv make is best?? Phillips? Samsung? Sony? **which one** I am after a 32 inch LCD HD ready television? which make is best for this??
Wanting a new TV: buy a Vizio or just wait and save up a couple hundred bucks? Ok, so my husband and I are really wanting to get a new television. We are wanting an LCD of at least 40 inches and are really hoping to stay under $1000. We went to the store the other day and looked at a bunch (all were turned on and side by side) and the Vizios were a good couple hundred dollars cheaper and had quality looking pictures. But, I have heard that Vizio can tend to have a rather short lifespan. So, my question is this: has anyone had a Vizio that has lived longer than a couple of years without problems? The TV we have right now is a Magnavox, have had it for about 4 years, and never had a single problem-- this is what I'm after again! We are just wanting something larger and wall-mountable. I would love to jump on the great deal for a Vizio, but want some feedback first. My husband's opinion is that we should just wait, save up the extra two hundred dollars, and buy a Phillips or other higher quality brand. What is everyone's opinion? I should also add that we are also considering JVC. I found a really neat one that has an ipod docking station attached to it... we have a really expensive surround sound system and I thought this might be neat because then we could utilize it for music when we aren't watching tv. So any thoughts, about how JVC, Phillips, and Vizio compare would be most helpful!
What is the best television to buy? I am in the market for a new TV which must meet the following specifications: 42" screen 1080p LCD Digital Freeview HD Ready Budget: up to 800 GBP I would appreciate some advice on what I can get for my money, good brand, good prices all that kind of thing. I am not interested in Phillips after having some bad experience with them. I would favour LG, but am prepared to look at anything suitable. Also if anyone has an opinion as to to the Plasma / LCD argument I would appreciate that also. My choices are not cast in stone and if I can be swayed towards a Plasma rather than an LCD, then that would also broaden my market. Thanks
