Where can I find refurbished LCD televisions? In the near future my wife & I will be looking for a 60" flat-panel LCD (NOT plasma!) television. The least expensive one that Best Buy carries is $5000. Maybe there are cheaper ones around but I couldn't find any. I am very interested in refurbished units. I mean, they come with the same guarentees & warrantees as new ones from the store but they're alot cheaper. My question is, are there any websites that specialize in refurbished LCD televisions? Maybe I have to go to every manufacturers website 1 by 1 looking for refurbished units? When I say "cheap", I mean inexpensive-I don't want a piece of crap. The unit has to be 1080p and have a good contrast ratio. Any help would be wonderful. Thanx!

Best & Cheap "non-smart" LED/LCD Television? Background: I'm looking for a television that simply has great color and detail at a great price. And having heard that plasma's life expectancy among other issues are quite prominent, I'm more interested in LED/LCD models. Details: I don't need the gimmicks of 3D or internet connection, since none of these are either relevant or attractive to me. All in all, I'm just looking for amazing picture quality. That being said, I hear Samsung is the best there is right now. (Also, sound quality is a plus, but not a huge concern as I will be looking to add an additional sound/home theater system in the future.) So if anybody can shoot a link or a television model number my way that fits the bill, that would be awesome and greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time! =) I forgot to specify that this inquiry is for a 55" - 60" television. On top of that, from my research, 1080p and 120Hz+ are practically on all models of this size.
connecting a LCD television to an old DVD home cinema surround system.? Hi I have a LG LCD television with built in Dolby digital surround built in. I've connected it up to my old surround sound home cinema system which runs through a dvd player. Its great for watching DVD's with, but thats the only time I can get the surround sound to work when its using a DVD. My mate has connected his surround sound system to his lcd tv and it works all the time when watching the footie for instance. Does anyone know if I could do this with my System, or is it to old and only designed for use with DVD's. Its only a cheap ALBA 5.1 home cinema system by the way. Cheers. How would I do this then?, Would I have to have the DVD player on, or could I connect the tv straight up to the subwoofer?. I've checked in the back of the DVD player and the connections that are not connected up are: Video out 1+2, S-Video out, Optical-coaxial digital audio out. And on the back of the subwoofer all that is free are 2 chnl L+R. Any ideas cheers

Can I get an LCD computer monitor, connect my cable box to it? since cable monitors are cheaper than lcd tvs? I was just thinking if this is possible, If a monitor has the component video or hdmi connection, would i be able to plug in a cable or satallite box? LCD monitors are a lot cheaper than TV/LCD Televisions. I doubt i'll ever use an antenna so i dont see any use for the Built in tuner on the TV/LCD, which is probably the reason its more expensive, or is there another reason? Anyone can let me know please. I like to save me some money. Thanks i'm looking at monitors around 20" or so.
Why are plasma TVs much cheaper than LCD TVs? After much researching, I have noticed that plasma TVs and LCDs TVs all have their both advantages and disadvantages. I was looking at some 50 inch 1920x1080 Full HD televisions and I have discovered that some Full HD LCD televisions cost almost twice as much as plasma televisions. Are there any 'hidden' tricks behind plasma TVs that make them so cheap compared to LCD TVs? I have looked at the advantages and disadvantages of plasma TVs and LCD TVs, but I don't see that LCDs are always the clear winner, despite their huge cost. So, why do they cost much more than plasma TVs? Thanks for your help! :)
Questions about extended warranties for LCD Televisions? I am getting ready to purchase a Samsung LNT4061F 40" LCD television. I think I am going to purchase it from an online site called Vann's electronics. The price is great and there is no shipping or tax. My only problem is that a five year extended warranty on their site is going to cost $399.99. Where would you reccomend purchasing an extended warranty from at a cheaper cost. I found a web-site called D-TV express that says they have a 5 year in home plan for $139. That makes me skepticable but I"m not sure. I would like to purchase and extended warranty but preferrably at a price cheaper than $400 but I want a reliable reputable warranty. Please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I still decide I want to get the extended warranty what are some options other than paying $400 from the web-site??
what should i buy with my tax returns: a new cheap lcd tv on sale before the superbowl or a new htc hero phone? I need a new smart phone because i washed my old one so now I'm stuck with an lg spyder, but I'm also not up for contract renewal till may for cellular south so the cheapest way for me to get the phone would be to cancel my service for $175 and sign a new one and pay 149 for the phone instead of the out of contract price for the phone which is 499.99. Also my 32 in television i have right now is 6 years old and I'm ready to upgrade to an lcd so i can watch online movies from my laptop on my television, and i want at least a 40 in television up to a 47 in one.

Mark on my LCD TV, could you help me please? I have a small, cheap LCD TV. There is a donut shaped mark on the front glass (sorry about the un-technical speak). It is probably the size of the circumference of my little finger and it currently does not affect my viewing on the television, but I'm worried that it could. What is this mark a result of and should I take the TV back while I still have a warranty?
What is the best way to clean an LCD television screen? Are the expensive kits best or is there an easier, cheaper method?

Should I buy LCD Monitor or LCD Television? This is really starting to confuse me now. Basically, i have just bought a tv and monitor but would like a second larger monitor to be connected to the PC for video editing but also connected to a digital receiver (in the case of getting a pc monitor) for watching television or to also watch dvds. I notice that getting a pc monitor is cheaper than an LCD tv but I also have to chip out atleast £50 for a digital receiver with HDMI output. As for televisions it is very hard finding an LCD with HDMI, VGA and DVI within my budget. Do i need all 3 of these? Help me pleaseeee! sorry i meant i have just bought a pc and monitor
Are Element Electronics televisions any good? Walmart sells this brand and they are cheap, but are they junk? Specifically, thinking about getting an Element 32" Class 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV http://www.walmart.com/ip/Element-ELDFT321/14321388 Anyone have one of these or heard anything about them?
Is there a cheap simple way to convert an old LCD monitor into a television? So far I have come across only one solution which is to buy an external TV tuner. However these tuners are extremely expensive. I was wondering if there was a cable that could just simply do the conversion from VGA to composite. I have found one on Ebay at: http://cgi.ebay.com/6-ft-VGA-RCA-Componet-Cable-PC-Laptop-TV-Monitor-/140500748734?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20b67f49be But do not know if it would work. Any suggestions and help are much appreciated. Thanks, Erik
LCD Television picture quality, can anyone help? I have just bought a 40" Sony LCD TV (which was not cheap!) and the picture quality is not as good as you would expect. The edges of people seem quite fuzzy. It has built in Freeview so is digital, any ideas!?
Will cheap home theatre systems give me sound? I have a 32in. LCD tv whose sound no longer works. I can't find a place to get it fixed. I was wondering if I bought a cheap all in one 2.1 channel home theater system could it then be used to watch over the air free television with sound. Like could I somehow connected the TV antenna to the dvd played and use the home theater speakers to watch tv?
Best LCD/Plasma television for watching movies (not actual television) for the cheapest price? I've been looking into getting a television for my bedroom for watching DVD's and such, but all of the televisions that I've seen are very expensive. I've been looking at the cheaper Sony and Vizio televisions because their the least expensive, but what would you say is the best "bang for my buck" regarding TVs? I would prefer one above 30 inches and maybe HD. If it helps any, I don't/can't watch actual cable, so it's just DVD's/Bluray for me. Thanks!
Which LCD TV is better? I have a bunch of scotia rewards and I want to get a TV with them. I dont know much about tv's. There are two 32 inch tv's with about 15,000 points diff. A Samsung LN32A450 32" LCD TV which is the cheaper of the two and a Sony KDL32L4000 32” Bravia LCD HD TV. Here are links: Sony KDL32L4000 32” Bravia LCD HD TV http://electronics.pricegrabber.com/plasma-lcd-televisions/m/70862375/details/search=Sony%20KDL32L4000%2032”%20Bravia%20LCD%20HD%20TV/st=product_tab/ Samsung LN32A450 32" LCD TV http://electronics.pricegrabber.com/plasma-lcd-televisions/m/65100910/details/st=product_tab/ The thing is that I dont exactly have enough, but I dont know which to get. The samsung one is only 15,000 points away and the sony one is almost 30,000 away. Are they the same? Should i just wait for the sony? Thanks for the answers, but at the moment these are the only two tvs the website has for the reward points.

I recently purchased a 720p 32 inch Toshiba lcd television so I purchased a dvd upconverter player so I can watch my old dvds with the 720p quality. I know I need certain cables to connect the dvd player to the tv in order to get the 720p quality but I dont know what kind. What would really help me is if you could look on this website (monoprice.com) and tell me which cables are the one because this is where I'm looking to purchase them since they're so cheap. Thanks!

I'm looking for a 42inch televesion that is good quality for cheap, where can I get it? My limit is $500. I want a really good television for that price. LED or LCD. Also, what are the best places to look? Should I wait until black friday?
Buying a new television, LCD or LED ? I want to buy a new teleivsion but i'm stuck on deciding between LED and LCD, LED televisions seem pretty new and I don't know if all the brands have mastered how to use it to the maximum extent, loads of the cheaper brands reveiws seem to be complaining but with LCD it's pretty standardly reviewed highly. Anyone who is well informed/knowledgable about televisions mind explaining to me the differences and the pros and cons of each LCD and LED please, thanks. I use a 3 external speaker system for the sound, that's not a very big concern of mine I use my TV for playing playstation and standard Freeview channels. At the moment I have a LCD Panasonic but I need a bigger TV now. I'm thinking of 40-42 Inches.
Was This A Good Buy (LCD Television)? Hey, I'm not a technical expert, but I went shopping today (boxing day madness) and I purchased this TV - http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/plasma-lcd-tvs/lcd-tv/soniq-qsl322t-32-hd-lcd-tv/436634?utm_source=jbo&utm_medium=jbo-homepage&utm_campaign=jbo-homepage-20091201-soniq-32-inch-P6 Was this a good purchase, is there a reason it was so cheap (it's brand new)?
22" soniq lcd television? hi, i just purchased a 22" soniq lcd tv yesterday to put in the bedroom, its connected to everything that it should be as far as I know but i've noticed that I can't watch the "prime" channels on digital tv. its not a big drama, the picture is clear enough, I've tried to re-tune it but still no luck. I'm assuming that its from a weak signal but its connected to a cable in the wall which i am assuming is for the aerial on the roof? (not very good with technical terms lol). I know it's a fairly cheap tv but i should still be getting ALL of the free to air channels right? help please anyone!!!!!! thanks i will try that!

Is there anywhere you can still purhchase a standard definition LCD television, approx 28-32"? Our television (28" CRT widescreen) is beginning to develop some faults. At the moment, all the television of that size (28-32") are HD ready and expensive, and it would be nice if we could save some money by getting a standard definition TV, which would be cheaper. However, I can't find any, not even on eBay, where people might have been selling their old ones! As we have no HD sources, and aren't likely to for a few years yet, there's no point in getting an HD television - in fact an HD television might even be worse quality due to the scaling from a standard definition source to HD resolution. So, I'd quite like to get a standard definition LCD television, in the range 28-32".
Which 32" inch lcd tv would you recommend between these two.......? This is the Sharp AQUOS one (Does AQUOS mean anything?) http://direct.asda.com/Sharp-LC32D44EBK-32+-HD-ID-LCD-Television/000574614,default,pd.html?cm_sp=electricals-_-sub-category-banner-tvs-_-link2 This Bush one is around £50 cheaper than the sharp one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BUSH-32-L32M1CA-HD-READY-DIGITAL-32IN-32-LCD-TV-NEW_W0QQitemZ260322983350QQihZ016QQcategoryZ11071QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem Which one do you recommend, taking in price, design, the shop, the brand, the specifications. E.g which is the better overall deal, I see the Sharp one selling for £400-500 on other sites, though the Bush one has good reviews on Argos.

Hyperion LCD Television Universal Remote Code? I bought an LCD TV from my son who is a manager from Menard's named Hyperion and now I can find nothing on the internet about it. I am sure it is a cheaper model of an Asian Brand Name but I don't know who. Now I have a new remote and cannot find the code so I can get the TV's sound and on/off to work. Anyone happen to know what it is? I have spent a half hour scouring the web but all I found was the sales ad from Menard's. Thanks After continued research I have found that one is not available. No one has been able to find one. I checked at least 6 sites and none of them had a code or the Hyperion brand listed. Even the owners booklet has no information as to who makes it or where. I called the number in the booklet and they had no idea what it was. They just ship the thing. So even though the price, $249 for a 32 inch, and picture are great they seem to remain a ghost. Numerous other people have left messages on other sites looking for the code with no answers. Having tried everything and more I guess I will have to turn the TV on and off and adjust the sound by getting up doing it the old fashioned way. Thanks All
Which LCD Television? I have been looking for a new LCD TV for around £200, and after a lot of research have narrowed my choices down to the following options: Samsung LE19R88BDX 19" for £250 or £300 with 5 year guarantee - majorly pushing the budget but worth it for a better name and reliability? Acoustic Solutions CTVL26W3HD 26" for £230 - much bigger than anything else I have found in the price range and seems to have good specs, but perhaps too good to be true? Cello E1906DVB 19" for £230 - good specs although again unknown brand, main selling point is a free 5 year guarantee. Sanyo CE20WLD25B 20" for £200 - cheapest with respectable specs and seems a good overall deal. What do you think would be the best choice? Shall I take a risk with a lesser known brand?
What are cheap, quality televisions? i am looking to buy later in the year a 37" 1080p HDTV LCD. I am looking for good quality ones that r under $600 which r under these categories?

Buying a new LCD television? i recently bought an Xbox 360, but i am playing it on my 32" tube tv in my living room. i want to buy an LCD for in my bedroom. i would like something from the 19" to 26" range. although, i am willing to go a little cheaper with an insignia or even a dynex. i am a little tight on money. it doesn't have to be 1080p, 720p is fine for me. i just want a tv to play my xbox on. is buying an insignia or a dynex safe, or will i be absolutely disappointed. (remember, this is my first HD TV, so i don't have a perfect eye for quality) if you have any suggestions on what to buy, let me know. I AM NOT BUYING ONLINE
Can someone check a website out for this? I'm looking to buy a LCD television and I heard of www.glad seller.com. The TVS are really cheap and I am suspicious of buying one. If someone who knows what to look for to see if it's a scam or something and tell me, it would be really appreciated! Thanks!
NEED ADVICE ON : Sharp Aquos LCD television LC42D432? We just bought this TV, without asking first if it was 720p or 1080p. It now appears it's a 720p... How bad is our mistake? My bf is freaking out! Is it a huge difference? Will we lose a lot of image quality? We are movie buffs and I watch much more movies then TV... I need your opinion... Should we go back tomorrow and change this TV (not delivered yet) or do we have a good TV (it's cheaper, of course, then the 720p. + There was a good deal at the store on this specific one) Thanx a bunch for your opinion!!!!!

I need input on new televisions.? I had my 61 inch, old projector, take a dump. In my research found DLP tv's cheaper than LCD or Plasma. The tv will go into an area that I dont mind what the width is. I need 50+ inch. So any info on the three tv's will help.
LCD or Plasma television? So Wal Mart's 32'' tv's are becoming really cheap estimated to about 400$ or maybe less for Christmas and my dad says that Plasma doesn't last as long and has worse resolution. Yet I want one because I think they are cooler looking honestly and has darker kinda contrast with the look. I'm mostly getting it for my room where I use my tv mostly for video games if that changes anything. Anyways what do you people say?
Can you get a tv to hook up to your computer so you can use it as a tv and computer monitor? I would like to use a television monitor as a computer monitor also. Is this possible with any types of monitors in particular? Also, does anyone have any suggestions for a decent 24" LCD tv monitor for a cheap price, that i will also be able to use as a computer? Multimedia projectors. PLease help? I am very interested in buying a projector to show dvds and cable television in my house. I would like some pros and cons to these projectors and is it worth buying a cheap projector as apposed to a cheap television. do you prefer CRT or LCD ,PLASMA for your tv needs? CRT may be old hat these days but there is still an awful lot in circulation, indeed when watching tv programmes that enter peoples homes there is more often than not a crt telly in there house than a lcd , i was wondering why this is ?? Is it because these people genuinely prefer the crt televisions or that they just havent made the move . I recently had the choice of a lcd but chose a crt because they are so cheap now despite offering in the later models 100hz flicker free tv , there is a lot of snobbery about tvs these days to some it Is very important to be cutting edge the question is does cutting edge really offer to the average person watching television anymore than CRT???
Future of led tv's and plasma? Do you think in 5 years time , led tv's will be loads more cheaper and the most popular after lcd televisions and that plasma tv consumption will decline.

What is the best and cheapest Big Screen HDTV available? I'm looking for a 46" or 50" big screen TV. My budget is around $900 - $1100. I'm not to concerned with the type of TV, wether it's LCD, Plasma or Projection. Although, this new TVs main purpose is for gaming, so it must have HDMI and at least 720p. I'm also worried about latency as I've read that some newer televisions can be a little slow to display the image due to the image processing that takes place. Does anyone have any good recomendations as to a tv brand or type that fills all these criteria and is within my budget? I'm not opposed to purchasing online although I still want to stay within my budget after tax and shipping fees.
I want to buy a new tv for my room what should I buy? My old jvc television is a normal 24in. I am in the market for a new flat screen wide screen 24in or 26in LCD HDTV for my room. I'm not sure what brand is best and I'm looking for something cheap. I found a tv with these specs for 350 from Olevia. Should I buy this television or is there something better? Not looking to spend more than 450. I don't buy for the brand name I buy for the functionality and reliability.
What video card should I get for using my monitor as a TV? Computer specs: Dell Dimension 4700, 1GB RAM, 3.0GHz CPU, 160GB HD, WinXP Pro, DVD-ROM drive, PCI-Express. Neither me nor my future wife EVER watch television, just movies, so we don't want to get a TV when we get married in a couple of months. We just want to get a good setup for watching DVDs on the computer. Right now, I just have the Intel integrated video card which is VGA-only, and the quality on the DVDs isn't so great. Dark colors are washed-out, sometimes the video skips to catch up, etc. I have a 17" Dell Ultrasharp 1704 LCD digital-ready monitor (though I think we'll be getting a 20" widescreen because everything we watch is widescreen). I want a video card that works well for watching DVDs and DivX files. I don't play any PC games so it doesn't need to be a super high-end card. I just want the cheapest card I can find that does what I need... Could I do something as inexpensive as a Radeon X300, or do I need something like a GeForce 6600, or something even better?
Does this TV include freeview? http://direct.asda.com/Onn-19-inch-LCD-Television-LE19LCD0801-/000568993,default,pd.html It says LCD Digital...whatever that means! I'm looking for a cheap, simple TV for my room that has freeview.
An A/V receiver for my Samsung? So I recently purchased a samsung LN52850 LCD television. I want a receiver to accompany it. I plan to get speakers as well and I own a Playstation 3. What would be the a receiver that can connect all of these and has HDMI 1.3, Dolby true HD, and HD Master Audio? A 7.1 feature would also be nice but not necessary. Price does not matter but the cheaper the better.
High Definition Televisions? I am looking for a cheaper HD-TV, but I want it to be a big screen(of course). I was thinking about a DLP tv because they seem to be nice enough and are only around 1,000 dollars for 50-60 inches. I heard that if you sit at the side of the tv you cant see the picture very well. What do you think of DLP tvs, or LCD'S?
How should I connect my computer to my TV? I recently got a new MacBook (late 2008) and got the Mini DisplayPort to VGA adaptor. I regularly use the Netflix Watch Instantly service, but it's hard to share the small screen with my family. We have an LCD television that excepts HDMI, S-Video, RCA, and Component Video. I have external speakers, so that is not a problem. My question is: what adapter should I use to connect my MacBook to my TV? Video quality does not matter much; all I want is something cheap (under $50) that will not break on me. Your answers are greatly appreciated. A general type is good, but it would be even better if you could supply me with a specific product.
Im looking for a tv for christmad wondering if this was any good? im looking for a tv for christmas and ive seen a cheap one in on the asda website wondering if it is any good link below, http://direct.asda.com/Linsar-L32HDF202-32+-HD-ID-Black-LCD-Television/000576686,default,pd.html
did i get a good deal or did i get jipped? Ok so i was at walmart getting pics developed when i saw this tv for sale. I wanted an HDTV, but at a kind of low price. I saw the tv and it said it was for 345. I was a little leary and asked the clerk why it was so cheap. she told me that it only applied to the show model because they had to make room. Its a 32in lcd Hdtv 720p. it still has the manufactueres warranty (1yr) but walmart didnt offer the extended warranty. I inspected it and it looked practically new! so i told em to box it up ill take it. so i bought it and im on day 4 and loving it. however....in the long run (3-5 years) will this still look like a good deal? if u are bored or care to check, its this tv here http://us.sanyo.com/entertainment/televisions/lcd/index.cfm?productID=1576 maybe one reason why it looks so good is because im used to playing call of duty 4 on my old 19' SD tv
Is the Teco TL3291RW 32" LCD TV any good? It's cheap (sub 300 quid) so am not expecting the world, but will SD television (via Tiscali TV), XBOX360 and DVD run without ghosting, blur etc? Also heard that there are issues with deep blacks and loss of details. Have searched the web and am yet to find a conclusive review. Any help would be greatly appreciated. What to buy first??? My mom told me I could choose between an HDTV (around 20 inches and below 450$) or a PS3 or Xbox 360. Eventually I will one gaming system and an HDTV but what should I get first? If I get a HDTV it would probably be this: http://www.tacp.toshiba.com/televisions/lcd/product.asp?model=20hl67 Or this http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8251241&st=samsung&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1169512520871 The toshiba is 326$ but maybe cheaper because the circuit city guy said it would go cheaper in a while. And at best buy the Samsung is 349$. I am new to HDTVs so I don't know which brands are best. As for game consoles if I got the PS3 I would get the 40GB model(Backwards compatability is not an issue for me on the PS3 or Xbox) and If I got an Xbox it would be the Premium system. Still not sure which one of those to buy. Anyways, please help me decide on what to get first. Thanks BTW I wont be getting any of these until at least mid January. The second item I will get with my bday money. Which will be at least 250 plus whatever else my family gives me which will probably add up to 350 or so. So it may take a bit longer before I get the 2nd thing.
